The practice-oriented project “Young Lawyer’s Course”, implemented by the specialists of ANO “My Zashchitnik” with the support of the Institute of Economics and Law of PetrSU, the Presidential Grants Fund and the Karelian branch of the RANEPA, has come to the final.
The main goal of this project is to teach students practical skills that will help improve their level of professional competence, thereby increasing the chances of young lawyers for successful employment and career.
Within the framework of the “Course for a Young Lawyer” project, only practicing specialists worked with students, including chairmen of bar associations, heads of state institutions and state authorities of the region, owners of the legal business, who passed on their experience to the participants and taught them the most important practical skills in demand in the legal profession … The students worked out all the knowledge gained in practice with real legal situations and cases, and in some cases even with real clients.
More than 100 students from three universities of Petrozavodsk – PetrSU, the Karelian branch of the RANEPA and the Northern Institute of VSUYu (RPA of the Ministry of Justice of Russia) took part in the project . At the end of the educational part of the course, a list of participants who showed themselves the best was determined, which included 60 students.
The award ceremony took place on January 20, 2021 at the Karelian branch of the RANEPA. The children were awarded memorable prizes, as well as certificates confirming their training within the framework of the “Young Lawyer Course” project. Only 30 of the best course participants from this list were invited to undergo an internship program in partner organizations of the project with the possibility of subsequent employment. The internship is an important part of the project, as it creates an additional opportunity for students to successfully start in the legal profession.
Despite all the difficulties associated with the restrictions caused by the spread of coronavirus infection, the specialists of the ANO “My Defender” managed to successfully implement the educational course and work for the benefit of the younger generation of lawyers, as evidenced by the positive feedback from the project participants.
